Named for a General Manager whose association with the Montgomery Water Works lasted 40 years, the Clarence T. Perry Filtration Plant was constructed in 1965 with an initial capacity of 20 MGD. Subsequent plant expansions and improvements have increased the capacity to 45 MGD to keep up with the needs of a growing community. The plant is located 1.5 miles south of the river bridge on U.S. 31 between Montgomery and Wetumpka.
